What Is Bail?
Bail is a financial agreement that allows a defendant to be released from jail while awaiting trial. Instead of paying the full bail amount set by the court, a licensed bail bondsman guarantees the defendant’s appearance in court by charging only a small percentage of the total amount.
How Much Does Bail Cost in Florida?
In the state of Florida, bail bond fees are set by law at 10% of the total bail amount, with a minimum fee requirement.
- Example: If bail is $5,000, the bond fee is $500.
- This fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the case.
We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and collateral (if required). Flexible payment options may also be available for qualified clients.
What You Need to Post Bail
When arranging a bail bond, please have the following ready:
- Valid government-issued ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport)
- Proof of residence
- Bail bond fee (10% of the bail amount)
- Signed bail bond agreement
- Collateral, if necessary (property, vehicles, jewelry, etc.)
Is Collateral Required?
Collateral may be required depending on the size of the bail and the circumstances of the case. Each situation is evaluated individually, and we work with families to make the process as smooth as possible.

Bail Hearing
After an arrest, the defendant will appear before a judge for a bail hearing. The judge will determine:
